Established in 1960, Abbeyfield Belfast is a not-for-profit organisation providing independent supported living for older people.
An Abbeyfield Belfast house is the ideal choice for older people who wish to maintain their independence whilst making life a little easier in their retirement years. It may be that the family home is too large to manage, garden maintenance is becoming a chore, and everyday tasks are more burdensome than they once were. Perhaps it’s not so easy to get out and about these days, maintain hobbies and keep in touch with friends.
Our Service
With a focus on high quality, traditional home cooking made from fresh local produce, we provide all meals which are enjoyed in the company of friends. We do the cleaning and laundry and for peace of mind our houses are staffed 24 hours a day.
Our residents are generally quite active, some with busy social lives getting out and about frequently. For those that do not want to venture too far we have a group of wonderful, dedicated volunteers who provide a range of activities and outings to stimulate both mind and body.
Why Choose Us
Abbeyfield Belfast is about much more than bricks and mortar. For us, making time for older people is more important, it’s at the very heart of everything we do, and it’s an ethos that stretches back over 60 years. Every one of our residents is special and deserves the very best level of service, and we’re committed to making their lives as happy as possible. Through our ethos of care and our remarkable staff we aim to enhance later life for everyone that lives with us.
